Feather hair extensions

Feather hair extensions

Eighties trends have increasingly been showing up
tedhair for the past few years. Spring 2011 welcomes the resurrection of another 80′s trend: feathers in the
tedshair hair. Gone are the days of the feather roach clip, today’s feather trend is attached to the hair as an extension. This season

Seen around Southern California, the style is worn two ways. Either attach a
tedhairs thin feather extension, such as a long rooster feather, underneath the hair so that the feather peaks out as if it is a
tedshairs length of hair. Or go all out and attach larger feathers, such as a peacock feather, on the side of your head above your ear.

Etsy designers offer a range of feather hair extensions. Futska offers a variety of colors red, green, turquoise, and purple in their packs of seven that include a free micro link clamp for $20. There are two ways to attach the feathers: either thread eight to 10 pieces of hair through the micro link clamp and press the clamp firmly with pliers; or use a threading tool to thread the hairs in place with the feather. Futska also offers a video to demonstrate the technique.
